What I did last thursday: I was sick but I still lined up for tickets at the BEG and got a couple of Upper B’s for  Finals, Game 1 of the UAAP. ‘Di pa nga alam nun kung sinong kalaban eh! I was pretty sure I’ll be able to watch the Blue Eagles winning moments, back-to-back, baby! Game 1 - Sunday, game 2 - Thursday, game 3 - Sunday. It was an effin perfect schedule… until all hell broke loose last Saturday! Yeah, unlike most people, I did not expect a sweep. As a colleague and former blockmate said it “Kailangan gumising ang Ateneo, UE kalaban nila, pwedeng pwede sila matalo.” Plus, you can’t remove the fact that a team with backs against the wall can do pretty much anything. Nagiging uso kasi recently ang sweep sa finals kaya “spoiled” na ang fans. And as I expected, the Blue Eagles lost the only finals game I can watch live today! I didn’t watch it live though, I didn’t even get to finish it because I had to help out clean the muk out of my brother’s house. Damn the weather.
